Contacting Us
We offer you the possibility to contact members or departments of the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts via email on our website. In this case, the information provided by the user will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for follow-up questions. The data will not be passed on to third parties or merged with other data sources. Access Data / Server Log Files
The web server operator BelWü collects the following data:
- Date and time of access
- Full IP address of the accessing device
- Retrieved file or function with retrieval method (GET or POST)
- Used protocol
- Result of retrieval (HTTP status)
- Number of transferred bytes
- In case of errors, the error recorded in the error logfile
This data is retained for 14 days and is used for troubleshooting, defense against attacks, and other measures to ensure and optimize operations, as well as for anonymized web statistics. The data is not passed on. Log entries may be shared with government authorities if required by law (e.g., for criminal prosecution or danger prevention).
For the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts, only anonymized log files are provided to optimize operations and troubleshoot. These anonymized log files have the IP address set to 0 in the last byte and contain the same data as the logs that are visible only to BelWü. These anonymized log files are retained on the web server for 4 days.
Social Media Services
This website contains links to various social media services. These are designed so that data is only transmitted after you have given consent or taken active action (such as sharing links). When you activate the social media services, the respective privacy policies of those services apply.
Use of Facebook/Instagram
When you visit our site, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook/Instagram server via the plugin. Routine Deletion and Blocking of Personal Data
The data controller processes and stores personal data only for the period required to achieve the storage purpose or as prescribed by the European Directives and Regulations or other laws and regulations that the data controller is subject to. Newsletter
The Press and Communications Department of the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts offers a newsletter for subscription. If you wish to receive it, we need a valid email address, your name, and information that will allow us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and agree to receiving the newsletter. No additional data is collected. These data are stored and used solely for sending the newsletter. They will not be shared with third parties or combined with other data sources. 3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
We process your application data to assess whether you have the skills, qualifications, and professional competence for the position you are applying for. The legal basis for processing your application data is primarily derived from Article 33(2) of the Basic Law, the General Equal Treatment Act, and budgetary law.
The legal basis for processing in the selection procedure for establishing a civil servant/employee/intern relationship is Section 15 of the State Data Protection Act in conjunction with Sections 83 to 85 of the State Civil Servant Act of Baden-Württemberg.
4. Recipients of Personal Data
Recipients of the personal data contained in the application documents are the relevant personnel officers, personnel representatives, the officer for equal opportunities, and, if applicable, the representative for severely disabled persons.
5. Retention Period
Your personal data/application documents will be destroyed two months after receiving a rejection, unless a longer retention period is required for defending legal claims or you explicitly consent to a longer retention period.
