Borrowing Media

Students, faculty, and staff of the academy have the opportunity to borrow media. Exceptions include the reference collection (marked with a red dot on the signature label), the reading room collection, and media from handbooks. There are no restrictions on the number of books, etc., that can be borrowed.

Borrowed books can be selected and reserved directly through the catalog.

Exceptions to borrowing include books from the reference collection, which are marked with a red dot on the signature label. Additionally, volumes from the reading room collection and media from the handbooks cannot be borrowed.

Loan periods:

  • Books: 4 weeks
  • DVDs, CDs, etc.: 1 week
  • Magazines: 2 weeks

If the media is not returned on time, fees will apply as outlined in the fee schedule. If no return is made, the account will be blocked, meaning no further items can be borrowed until the overdue materials are returned.

In the case of the loss of a borrowed item, the replacement cost must be paid, even if the item can no longer be acquired.
