Library

The library is a scientific library for Art and Art History with a focus on contemporary art. The collection includes nearly 56,000 publications (books, DVDs, CDs, etc.) in numerous subject areas of art and approximately 16 linear meters of journals.

Special collection areas of the library are contemporary art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Elaborate illustrated books can be found there as well as the latest exhibition catalogs. The collection is constantly updated according to the needs of students and educators. Apparatuses with a selection of literature for current courses are provided.

Please note: Due to lack of space, the library of the Kunstakademie is currently unable to accept book donations.
