The front building houses a student co-working space specifically designed for professional work on textile projects. This area accommodates the handling of large fabric lengths, high quantities, and unconventional formats, as well as the processing of intricate materials and the textile preparation for performances or exhibitions. Students have the option to work individually or collaboratively in this space. The room is equipped, featuring four industrial sewing machines for straight seams, one for zigzag stitching, two professional serging machines, and a machine tailored for leather processing. Additionally, the co-working area provides essential amenities such as ironing facilities and spacious work tables. Students also have the option to bring their own sewing machines if they desire a productive communal atmosphere, need additional space beyond the studio, or wish to share expertise with their peers
Access regulation
After a technical briefing by tutor Eleonora Beierle , the room and machines can be used by all students during general workshop opening hours.
Workshops and teaching events
Workshops and teaching events are also offered in the Co_Working_Space Textiles. If you would like to offer a workshop yourself, realize a project idea with your group or class, or plan the textile equipment for a performance, please contact Prof. Dr. Christina Griebel.
