The Assistant to the Rector primarily handles the internal and external correspondence of the full-time members of the Rector's Office, i.e. the Rector and the Chancellor. These tasks are in the hands of Peggy Siegel.
She organizes and coordinates the Rectorate and committee meetings. This essentially involves preparing the agenda, collating the meeting documents, taking minutes, following up and tracking tasks. In addition, there is the documentation of work processes and administrative procedures. In doing so, she also performs the tasks of the office of the University Council.
In addition, the Assistant to the Rectorate is responsible for independently working on projects and strategic issues of the Rectorate. Here, the focus is on a structured processing of research results and, if necessary, a visualization of the results.
Further focal points of the administrative work are in the area of human resources, such as the processing of teaching assignments and part-time jobs, the coordination of annual interviews and the support of the company integration management, as well as in controlling (determination of key figures) and in the area of information security.
