Rezi van Lankveld: Lecture of the dutch Artist

The complex and contradictory interplay of immaterial paint, figurative hints and fauvist palette are created through a process of pouring paint loosely from a can onto the canvas, then pushing and pulling the paint until compositions emerge.

Rezi van Lankveld (1973, Almelo,NL, lives and works in Amsterdam). Lankveld’s work has been the subject of international exhibitions most recently at Petzel gallery New York; Reset, Borgloon; The Approach, London; Annet Gelink gallery Amsterdam; Institutional presentations include Palazzo de’ Toschi, Bologna; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Cabinet Bredin Prat, Paris; Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato; Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and Museum Voor Actuele Kunst, Den Haag, among others.
