Enrollment

The most important requirement for enrolling at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe is admission to the programme, which is communicated to the successful applicants in a written notification. The enrollment takes place via the Application Portal HISinOne and an in-person appointment at the Student Secretariat.

For enrollment, the electronic submission of a current proof of health insurance or an exemption from insurance obligation (for privately insured students) from the statutory health insurance provider is required. This process should be initiated immediately after accepting an offer of admission.

 

Summary of documents required for enrollment:

  • Admission letter
  • Application for enrollment
  • Proof of payment for the student union and administration fees
  • Electronic proof of student health insurance

 

For students transferring from another university, the following is additionally required:

  • Proof of deregistration from the previous university

 

For international applicants, the following is additionally required:

  • Proof of German language proficiency
  • A residence permit allowing enrollment in a degree program or that does not exclude enrollment, or an EU residence permit
