Masterclass Student Expanded Programme

The Masterclass student expanded programme at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe, which is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg, is exemplary in its form in the German academic landscape. It has been a continuous component of teaching since 2001 and serves to professionalise graduates of the Diploma degree Fine Arts study programme.

The programme encompasses an external masterclass student exhibition hosted in various distinguished art institutions across Baden-Württemberg. Participating graduates compile portfolios, collectively forming the masterclass student catalogue, serving as a representative sample of their work. This innovative approach serves a dual purpose: firstly, it offers the public beyond Karlsruhe a valuable opportunity to engage with the creations emanating from the academy. Secondly, it affords graduates the invaluable experience of curating an exhibition in an unfamiliar, yet professional setting, along with the production of an accompanying catalogue. The Masterclass Student Programme serves to promote the graduates and to prepare them for professional independence.

The Masterclass student expanded programme is a further education programme at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe.

Notice: The language of instruction at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe is German. Therefore, the study programmes and courses offered during the semester are presented and conducted in German. Please use an online translation tool if necessary.
