Artistic Processes in the Context of Exhibitions

The term "Artistic Processes in the Context of Exhibitions" encompasses the work process of students before and during the presentation of their artworks in often unfamiliar exhibition environments. The exploration of this topic is a key component of the artistic Educator programme, equipping future educators with the tools to conceptualize, create, and effectively present their work to the public.

In the cross-class dialogue among artistic Educators, tan inclusive approach is taken to various artistic techniques, media, and methodologies. The primary focus is on students’ engagement with their own work, both through discussions with peers and individual critiques. Verbal expression and articulation are essential aspects of refining one’s creative process. Group discussions are designed to provide feedback, offer suggestions, explore possible execution and interpretation paths, and connect the work to contemporary art and art history.

This study programme aims to integrate theoretical and practical approaches to address each student’s unique artistic challenges. Additionally, excursions provide opportunities for students to engage with contemporary art spaces and discourses.

Teaching areas covered include: Projects in Space; BA IMG: Project I; MA IMG Project III: Performance, as well as supervision of Bachelor exhibitions.

Prof. Julia Müller leads this course.
