Hanna-Nagel-Prize
Established in 1998 by the five female presidents of Karlsruhe at that time, the Hanna-Nagel-Preis serves to support female visual artists aged 40 and above in the Karlsruhe administrative district. It aims to acknowledge and honor their accomplished artistic endeavors. Additionally, the prize pays tribute to the artistic legacy of Hanna Nagel (1907-1975), a significant figure in the "Neue Sachlichkeit" (New Objectivity) movement. She pursued her studies at the Badische Landeskunstschule Karlsruhe from 1925 to 1929.
This call for entries targets independent female visual artists who have completed their studies at an art college, a college of design, or hold an equivalent qualification.
The Hanna Nagel Prize is administered by the Cultural Office of the City of Karlsruhe.C
