Cusanuswerk
Cusanuswerk Scholarship for Fine Arts Students
Every year, the Cusanuswerk organises a selection procedure for Fine Arts students. Participation is based on recommendations from art academies, where the Cusanuswerk is represented by contact lecturers. Prof. Dr. Christina Griebel serves as the contact professor at the Academy of Arts Karlsruhe. Each university, depending on the number of students in the Fine Arts and the Fine Arts Eductor programmes, has the privilege to nominate up to four highly qualified students for the procedure. Successful applicants receive sponsorship from the Cusanuswerk, covering both the first artistic degree (graduate/Diploma/Master's degree) and the subsequent masterclass student's year.

Georg Meistermann Scholarship of the Cusanuswerk
Upon completion of their studies, recipients of the Cusanuswerk's artist support programme are encouraged to apply for the Georg Meistermann scholarships. This ongoing two-year scholarship, endowed with 1,450 euros per month, also includes funding for a solo exhibition with catalog production (a one-time grant of 8,000 euros). It stands as one of the most generously funded graduate scholarships for young artists in Germany. The selection committee for students at art colleges decides on the recipients. Presently, thanks to support from the Cusanuswerk, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and the Verein Ausstellungshaus christliche Kunst München, three Georg Meistermann scholarships are available. This scholarship honors the legacy of the artist and art professor Georg Meistermann (1911-1990), who also served as a painting professor at the Karlsruhe Art Academy from 1950 to 1976.
