Bachelor's degree programme: Educator of Fine Arts at Secondary Level (Gymnasium Level)
Please note: The Artistic Educator training programme at the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts qualifies individuals to teach at high schools (Gymnasium) and vocational schools with equivalent qualifications in Baden-Württemberg. To teach in another federal state in Germany, you must reapply and meet the specific requirements of that state after completing your studies or changing your study domicile.

Field of Study: Painting/Graphics or Sculpture
Admission requires both a general university entrance qualification and proof of artistic aptitude, which is determined through a successful practical aptitude test conducted during the selection process .

- General university entrance qualification
- Tabular CV
- letter of motivation (max. 1 MB as PDF file, max. 2 DIN A4 pages)
- digital work samples (max. 10 MB as PDF file),

If applicable:
- Recognition of international university entrance qualification.
- Proof of German language proficiency (if the university entrance qualification was obtained outside Germany or Austria)
- Proof of completed internships, vocational training, or prior study periods and degrees relevant to the programme
- Proof of previous studies or current enrollment
- Valid admission notice from a previously passed aptitude test at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe
