Basics Requirements
Basic requirements for an application in the offered study programmes at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe are:
- Completely submitted/uploaded application documents, if applicable with digital self-made work samples (please refer to the instructions of the respective study programme).
- fulfillment of the admission requirements of the respective study programme
- Consent to undergo the selection procedure (participation in the practical talent test)
- Minors with a university entrance qualification can apply to the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe without restriction. This also applies to minors without a university entrance qualification who agree to take part in the practical talent test.
- Applications for more than one course of study at the same time are not permitted, with the exception of applications by university transfer students for the IMG sub-course of study.
The different selection procedures require different admission requirements, which must be uploaded as individual proofs and documents in the application portal APP .
If you have already passed the practical tests at the Karlsruhe Academy of Art, you must reapply, but only individual application components (university entrance qualification, no renewed work samples and letter of motivation) must be uploaded. The passed practical test is valid for two years.
