International students

For international students, the admission requirements of the respective Degree programmes apply.

Applications are also submitted through the application portal.

For non-German-speaking foreign applicants, proof of language proficiency is required. This can be demonstrated by:

• The "Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache"/ Test of German as a Foreign Language (TestDaF), with at least TDN 3 in all four sections, or
• A certificate of the German Language Examination for University Admission for International Applicants (DSH-1), or
• A Europa-Zertifikat/Goethe-Zertifikat for German at level B2, or
• A comparable, recognised certificate proving sufficient knowledge of the German language.

International applicants who hold a foreign university entrance qualification must have the equivalence of their qualification confirmed by the Stuttgart Art Academy before submitting their application.
