Academic Affairs

The Department of Academic Affairs/Committees serves as the interface for the academic self-administration of the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts. Dirk Dietrich is the point of contact for representatives of the organs and committees of the Karlsruhe Academy in all academic matters. These include the University Council, Senate, subject groups, other academic committees and commissions, as well as the university's officers. Key responsibilities include the secretariat of the University Council and Senate. In this role, Dirk Dietrich supports the respective leadership of these bodies, from preparing meetings with the creation of agendas and resolutions to minute-taking. The composition and duties of these bodies are based on the State Higher Education Act, the Basic Regulations of the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts, and, additionally, the respective rules of procedure.

Furthermore, Dirk Dietrich is responsible for organizing elections for the organs and committees. He also provides administrative support for the election procedures of the university's officers.

In his capacity as the Chancellor's representative, Dirk Dietrich is involved in drafting the state budget proposals, the annual budget execution, accounting, and the annual financial statements of the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts. Additional tasks include the introduction of the campus management system HISinOne and the ongoing digitalization of the university.
